Walt s Danville Service is your one stop, full service automotive repair shop. We have been serving the Tri-Valley area since 1970. As a leader in the industry, we are the only automotive repair shop in Danville & San Ramon certified by the State of California to perform smog repairs under the Consumer Assistance Program CAP . Our shop has been certified by the State of California into Gold Shield smog program longer than any other shop in the Tri-Valley. Walt s Danville Chevron was founded in 1970 by my father Walt Macor. I worked part time for my dad during school. I started out in the business pumping gas, washing windows and changing oil. I loved working with cars .By 1972, I was working full time as a mechanic. Shortly after, I got my smog and several ASE certifications. In 1987, Chevron lost their ground lease. The station was bulldozed and Walt retired. The landowner leases the property to Jiffy Lube who approached me with an attractive offer to manage their business at our
